...So we've got some other Connor. [ He huffs. ] Well, damn.
[ That must be what all the fuss was about not so long ago, leading into all this. ]
In that case, Accelerator's your guy for the more technical bits. What I recall most was the place being hot as Ailell and needing to keep wind spells going longer than I'd ever had to before. Bone tired after that mess.
[ It's a quick question, or most likely, just a confirmation. He wouldn't have pegged the guy as one, but it's not like it's always easy to tell, either. It's a surprise more than anything--not many wizards around, as far as Gorgug knows. Always plenty of humans, though. ]
[ Ohhh. That actually piques Gorgug's interest more, since it sounds like it could be something--special? Specific? ]
An adventuring school? [ Though, it might not be that, so he asks instead: ] Do you have adventuring schools? Training to take on dangerous jobs?
[ The fact there's a side of magical education makes Gorgug curious at all if there's the possibility of an adventuring-esque academy like his own world has. It'd be the first, kind of. ]
Kind of? It's an Officer's Academy, training for leadership and the like. But it includes getting deployed to handle problems in the region, whether looking into or resolving them, so I guess if adventuring was a formal assignment...
[ Is it similar, sort of? It's the first Yuri has heard of adventuring in a way that suggests it's a career path. ]
Then there's a magic academy, up in Fhirdiad. My homeland's capital city.
[ Is it similar? Not quite, but it's not dissimilar, maybe, and truly the closest he's heard of an academy being. He nods his head to the detail of a separate magical academy, since- ]
There's separate academies for different skills, too. My school's, they bring people with different interests together, and then you get training for that interest, but working in teams. So I get mad and hit things hard, but we have a cleric, a wizard, a fighter, and a rogue on the team, too.
[ Yuri's just assuming, what with the bit about hitting things. He does have a self-assigned friend who calls himself the King of Grappling though, so he might just think of people who fight with fists as a result. ]
I think we've got ourselves some overlap, at least.
[ The labels do make sense to him, that's something, right? ]
People can get into specializations like healing or offensive magic, ranged and close-quarters combat, all that. I picked up a little bit of everything. Well, save axes and lances. Too cumbersome for me personally.
[ Would he call himself a brawler? ...it's hard to say, but he doesn't mind taking that title! But upon Yuri mentioning his own disinterest in axes, he holds his hands in mimic of holding the handle of one. ]
I brawl with axes. [ Yes, he'll just call himself a brawler now... ] But, uh, that's cool. I never hear other worlds with schools like that. So..
[ Well! That's all he was curious about, really, but he gives a nod. Awkwardly, but: ]
I'll leave you with that card. Uh, and I guess, shoot me a call if you need anything? You probably don't...
Okay. [ ? There's the air of questioning in that slipped in reply to the fridge remark, which-- Gorgug thinks might be a joke or not? Regardless, he does take Yuri's hand rather loosely, but gives it a shake. ]

[ From Hank. Weird situation, but Gorgug doesn't try to think hard about these things. ]

[ His understanding of wizard may be entirely different from Gorgug's. ]
Part of the curriculum where I went to school.

[ He's just bad at ending conversations!! ]

[ Yuri says the words airily, though whether he actually means them sincerely or merely in jest is impossible to discern.
Either way, he thrusts out a gloved hand for a shake. He's a mouthy little thing, but he does know some manners. ]
In any case, thanks for the delivery.

I hope your mom's doing well.

...it just seemed polite! ]

Same with yours.
[ Shame they've got no way of knowing, but that's just how it is. ]
Till next time then.
[ Punctuated with a jaunty salute. ]
